My newest work was inspired by the landscapes right out my studio window. The fall colors have been exceptionally beautiful this year. I am still playing with the concept of “unfinished landscapes” – I find the dialogue between the random aspect of the background and the confidence of the drawing/painting on top to be fascinating. But many of my new pieces asked to be worked upon until the drawing no longer showed and I always follow the direction that the paintings take me!
